About Us

Our History:

Since 2016, we have certified tens of thousands of volunteer hours and tens of millions of dollars donated to fish and wildlife conservation by our membership. In addition, we have provided world-class best-practice training and support for our business members. In 2025, we shut down our “2% for Conservation Certification”, which certified both time and dollars donated to conservation, and launched our Fish & Wildlife Volunteers (FWV) program. This new program is focused exclusively on volunteered time for conservation and also opens up our training and support to individuals.

Our collaborative approach is both convenient and comprehensive. No one has certified conservation volunteer work by businesses for as long as we have.

Fish & Wildlife Volunteers is a program of 2% for Conservation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

To help ordinary businesses and people do extraordinary volunteer work for wildlife and wild places.

Who We Serve:

We are passionate about helping anyone and any business become more effective and passionate conservation volunteers. If you are a committed conservation volunteer, want to enhance your business’ “why” and how you communicate it, or are simply conservation-curious — we are here to help you.

We believe that the title “conservationist” should not be gate-kept just for those who can afford support conservation work financially. Your most valuable and irreplaceable resource is your time, and you should be supported and rewarded for generously giving it for the benefit of wildlife and wild places.

Whether you volunteer for conservation from grass-root to grass-tops, we are here for you.

Our Business Certification:

We certify businesses that volunteer at least 20 hours per 5 employees, annually to conservation.

We help ensure that the most impact possible is made with those volunteered hours through best-practice education, mentoring, and directly supporting our business members. Additionally, we help these businesses build internal and external marketing programs around their volunteer efforts to boost both employee morale and consumer loyalty.

Though we no longer certify the dollars, but exclusively the time, that our members donate, we continue to share how they support wildlife conservation with their time, their talent, and their treasure!

Our Individual Membership:

New for 2025, we are leveraging our near decade of experience informed by aiding and certifying tens of thousands of volunteered hours to help individuals become more effective volunteer conservationists. We do this through providing best-practice education, support, and networking for the exchange and exploration of ideas.
