How a Pressure Washing Business Supports their Local Aquatic Ecosystem

How do you give back your time to conservation as a small business?

That’s a question hundreds of our members tackle every year, as they pursue the “1% of time donated to wildlife” portion of our 2% Certification. It’s why we devote more than half of our team’s time to helping our members find places to give back to wildlife in a meaningful way.

For 2% Certified Business Member Ecowash Pressure Washing, finding a place to give that aligned with their business’ “why” came pretty naturally.

From their owner, Andrew Pfaff:

“We got some of our Madison crew together yesterday to do a few hours of invasive species removal at a local beach and then some trash pickup in the boat launch parking lot. It was a great way to provide some help to our local shorelines which are full of moss and other invasive species that make the shorelines difficult to access. This is important to us because we believe that our business owes it to our community to help out and do our small part.

As a hunter and angler, I found that cleaning up the shoreline in my local lake and picking up trash at the boat launch was a good way to do my part. I’m very proud to have a crew that stepped up to volunteer with me on Thursday morning.”

Thank you, Ecowash team, for doing your part and living out the 2% Standard in your local community!
